WMTA conducts Badger Auditions on the third Saturday of May at various sites throughout Wisconsin. Badger Instrumental and Vocal Auditions were conducted on May 12, 2001 at UW-Marshfield. A total of forty-two students participated, including 10 flutes, 15 strings, and 17 vocalists. We wish to thank all those who participated and gave of their time to help out at this event. Judges select a winner from each room/site. Winners receive a trophy, additional WMTA points and perform in the winners recital at the conclusion of the day's events. Runner-Ups and Honorable Mentions may be chosen at the discretion of the judge. Co-chairpersons for the competition were Cynthia Penker and Christy Erickson.
