Music Dynamics provides qualified music instructors for each area of concentration.

We offer private lessons and private/group combination lessons for piano/keyboard students.

Private/group combination lessons include 30 minutes of group and 15 minutes of private lesson time, all in the same day. Groups consist of 4-6 children of about the same age and level of musical ability. Private lessons provide 30 minutes of one-on-one instruction.

We offer our customers a free, no obligation interview prior to starting lessons. At that time, the parent, student and teacher can discuss which type of lessons would be appropriate and the teacher can plan a curriculum.

Our philosophy was and still is that music lessons should be fun. Music fundamentals, ear training and sight reading are fun to learn when presented through an enjoyable format of games, flash cards, rhythms instruments, and board work. The ensemble experience is also enjoyable to the student. Therefore, group teaching is our preferred choice, however, individual lessons are also provided when needed.

Early Childhood

In order to provide a good musical background for students and parents as early as possible, Music Dynamics purchased a license and two teachers became certified to teach the nationally known early childhood curriculum "Musikgarten" for ages 0-7. This pre-school music program enables families to get their children off to an early start and to continue their instruction for as long as possible.

Musikgarten is a family-focused approach to music study that addresses the needs of the whole child at the earliest stages of development. You and your child will have a wonderful musical experience through a combination of songs, playing movement games and instruments, listening and learning. Younger siblings are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Classes are offered for three age groups: Family Music for Toddlers for ages 1 to 3, Cycle of Seasons classes for ages 3 to 5 and the Music Makers for ages 4½ to 6. No instrument is necessary.

We offer piano classes for children 5 or 6 years old. Students must have access to a piano or keyboard.

Each piano-keyboard student and adult student must establish an account for learning materials. Any balance remaining at the end of the academic year will be applied to the next year. Instrumental and vocal students pay for materials on an as needed basis.

Lesson and Performance Calendar

The teaching year follows the public school academic calendar. Lessons begin after Labor Day and run through May.

Students participate in a special summer session that runs June through August.

The studio is closed Thanksgiving Week, Christmas Eve through New Year's Day, and Easter Break.
