Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the upper Midwest – and probably the hot spot in the state.  Most Wisconsinites enjoy the Dells as an easy family getaway or day-trip, as well.

The Dells has something for everyone. The city itself is named for the beautiful and unusual rock formations that jut up into the sky and form a strikingly attractive display along the river’s edge. The scenery alone is breathtaking and no visit to the Dells would be complete without a boat tour of the Upper and Lower dells. In the Upper Dells, the boats maneuver in and through narrow channels flanked by steep rock walls and offer a dramatic view of the area. Some tours stop along the way and allow passengers to disembark for a short time at Stand Rock formation, Cold Water Canyon, and Witches Gulch. The Lower Dells tours are also beautiful, though the river is wider and the sandstone structures are a bit less majestic. Tours are narrated and describe the area’s history, making it a wonderful learning experience for all.

Wisconsin Dells is also known for its water parks.  The city offers both outdoor and indoor water parks, so the area is hopping with a splashingly wet good time even during the fall months. The area boasts that it has the area’s largest indoor and outdoor water parks in America, and that may very well be. With wave pools, waterslides, bumper boats, inner tube slides, lazy rivers, kiddie pools, miniature golf, go-karts, arcades, carnival rides, picnic areas, concession stands, and gift shops, families could easily spend an entire weekend at one of these parks and entertain everyone in the process.

Wisconsin Dells also highlights the areas Native American Indian heritage with shows featuring Indian stories and folklore, costumes, dances, and traditional ceremonies. This history is also evident in the crafts and gifts available in the area, and area museums also feature displays focusing on the Native American culture.

Opportunities to camp, hike, bike, walk the trails, and enjoy the area’s natural beauty are everywhere. So are opportunities to fish, boat, canoe, paddleboat, or otherwise enjoy the scenery by land or water.

There is something for everyone in Wisconsin Dells!  We hope you'll make plans to attend our spectacular conference, October 31-November 1!
